This issue is related to getting this error when connecting with Jira:
We are currently evaluating raygun and are running into the same error. the dropdown box is empty and "create new issue" produces "Something went wrong! Here is what your Jira server returned: Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0, position 0."

Perhaps on the plugin settings page there could be a [Test] button and that would be a good place to spit out some digaostics. eg. Couldn't find Jira at that URL, Couldn't authenticate with Jira with those details, That Jira user doesn't have XYZ permission which it needs to access that project. Etc...

I am experiencing the same issue.
"Something went wrong! Here is what your Jira server returned: Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 9, position 1."

We've been working on this, and fixed a couple of issues relating to Jira integration. Hoping to nail down the invalid data (< issue) in the next day or so.
