Why is 'error first reported' date different from historic analysis panel on the right?

We have an error that has the auto-generated comment entry:

Error first reported on November 17th 2023 1:4949 pm

However, the panel to the right shows that the oldest instance of this error was from May 16th 2023. Presumably errors are being grouped slightly differently in order to come to these different dates? What are the grouping rules in each case? (Or if they use the same grouping, why are the dates different?)

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out.

We have been able to see and replicate this. Your data is still there and has not been affected by the issue.

We do not have a confirmed date on when this would be fixed.

While viewing this error, it has also uncovered another issue and we are currently investigating this further from our side.

Kind regards,

Nadia

Hi there,

It looks as though this may be related to merging error groups?

The "first reported" in the comment section is created when the "Error Group" is created, if others errors are merged into this group, instances of the other errors are put under this group, but don't affect that "first reported" date.

This is likely what is causing that discrepancy between the "first reported" and errors existing before that date.

Hopefully that helps!

Thanks, Sean
